The CaliMar® CMARCEC54-1Y salt cell electrode is meant as a replacement for Ecomatic Original cell models ESC24, ESC36 and ESC48 (Ecomatic model number M0657USA). The cell housing and cord are sold separately, and we recommend replacing both when buying a new replacement salt cell.
The CMARCEC54-1Y comes with one-yer warranty. This protection applies whether the unit is used in the ESC24, ESC36 or ESC48 salt systems, or in the newer Ecomatic ESC7000, ESC8000 or ESC9000 models. Pool Supply Unlimited handles all CaliMar® warranty claims directly, so there's no delay in waiting for the manufacturer itself to respond.
The CMARCEC54-1Y uses 13 titanium blades to create chlorine sufficient for pools up to 54,000 gallons in volume, and includes a safety sensor to shut down the unit in the case of an insufficient flow of salt. It also uses an auto-delay feature to allow the pump to prime at startup, which also prevents the electrode from operating when there is a possible shortage of water and salt. And like Ecomatic OEM electrodes, the CMARCEC54-1Y automatically shuts itself down 50 percent of the time when set at only 50 percent of full production capacity, helping to extend its lifespan.
