The Solar Sun Rings SSRA-BL-02 is a plain blue passive solar heating ring, 5 ft across, supplied with a water anchor. It floats on the pool and warms the water using nothing but sunlight.
How it works
The ring is built from two layers of UV resistant vinyl. The clear upper layer directs the sun onto the blue layer below it, which absorbs about half of that light and turns it into heat. The remaining light filters through the ring and into the pool water. There is no pump, no plumbing and no power involved.
Using them
Rings are meant to be used in numbers. Float as many as it takes to cover the share of the surface you want covered, and use the water anchor so they hold position. Inflate lightly rather than firmly, and keep in mind that a ring is a heating device, not a float for a swimmer.
