Product details

The Tecmark TBS339A is a single pole, normally open air switch. It is the genuine Tecmark part.

How an air switch is used

Air switches let a bather start a pump or a blower without any electrical connection at the button. Pressing the button sends a pulse of air down a small tube to the switch, which sits back at the equipment. The diaphragm inside moves and closes the circuit. Because only air travels to the button, there is no line voltage anywhere the user can reach.

Before you order

Match the configuration to what the equipment needs. This one is SPNO, single pole and normally open, so it closes a single circuit when actuated. If your panel uses a different pole or contact arrangement, a different Tecmark switch is required.

What does SPNO mean?
Single pole, normally open. The switch holds one circuit open at rest and closes it when air actuates it.
How does an air switch work?
A button at the pool or spa pushes air down a length of tubing. That pressure trips a diaphragm inside the switch, so no electrical wiring has to run out to the button.
Is this a genuine Tecmark part?
Yes. It is the Tecmark air switch, part number TBS339A.
My spa button no longer starts the pump. Is the switch at fault?
It can be, but check the air tubing and the button first. A cracked tube or a leaking button loses the pressure the switch needs before the switch itself is the problem.
