Aquador 71084 is the replacement snap on cover for the Aquador skimmer closure system. It is the cover on its own: the face plate that mounts to the skimmer is not part of this item.

What the closure does

An Aquador closure seals off the skimmer throat, which is what lets a pool be closed with the water level still up above the skimmer mouth. Leaving the level high supports the liner and the water line through the off season, instead of dropping the pool several inches to get the water below the skimmer opening.

Does this include the face plate?
No. This is the snap on cover on its own. If you need the plate that mounts to the skimmer as well, that is a separate part.
Which Hayward skimmers does it suit?
Our facts are not consistent on this. The listing title names the Hayward SP1089, while the product description and the internal name also name the SP1084. Check the number stamped on your own skimmer before ordering.
Do I need tools to fit it?
No. It snaps on and off the Aquador face plate by hand.
