Product details

The Pentair 230150 is the lower housing for the 1.5 inch 5-port top feed valve. It is the ported bottom half of the valve, the part the plumbing connects to.

What it replaces

Valve bodies crack. A hairline split in the housing or a port that weeps at the joint will keep a pad damp no matter how many times it is re-glued. When the top assembly, the diverter and the hardware are still in good shape, changing the housing puts the valve right without buying the whole thing again.

Get the size and the port count right

This housing is 1.5 inch and 5-port. Pentair builds the same family in 2 inch and in a 6-port arrangement, and those take their own housings. Count the ports and measure the pipe before ordering.

Is this a complete valve?
No. It is the lower housing, the ported bottom half of the 1.5 inch 5-port top feed valve. The top assembly and diverter are separate.
How many ports does it have?
Five. If your valve has six ports, this is not the housing for it.
Will it fit a 2 inch valve?
No. This one is the 1.5 inch housing. The 2 inch valves use their own housing.
Why would I replace just the housing?
Because the housing is what cracks. When a port weeps or the body splits but the top, diverter and hardware are still sound, replacing the housing costs less than a new valve.
