Product details

The Sta-Rite 24900-0509 is the adapter fitting used inside a range of Sta-Rite and AquaTools filter tanks. It is the version for filters manufactured before 10/03.

Check the date first

Sta-Rite revised this fitting in October 2003, and the two versions are not interchangeable. Before ordering, find the manufacture date on the filter tank label. If the filter was built before 10/03, this is the correct part; a later tank takes the revised fitting instead.

What it fits

The fitting is listed for the System 2 Modular Media filters PLM100 and PLM150, the System 3 cartridge filters S7M120, S8M150, S7M400 and S8M500, the System 3 DE filters S7D75 and S8D110, and the AquaTools permanent media AT84100 and AT84150 along with the AquaTools DE AT8230 and AT8236.

While the tank is open

Opening a filter to reach the adapter is most of the work, so it pays to look at the seals at the same time. The adapter to tank o-ring is a separate part and is a common companion to this repair.
