Product details
The US Pumice Co PB-86 is a pumice stone pool blok with a pole clip on it. It is sold as a tile and concrete cleaner and it fits any standard size pool pole.
Working from the deck
The clip is the difference between this and a loose stone. Clipped to a pole, the block reaches the waterline tile from the deck, which means you can work along a whole tile line without being in the water and without kneeling on the coping.
Where to use it, and where not to
Pumice cleans by abrading, and that is exactly why it lifts hard deposits off tile and concrete. The same property makes it the wrong tool for soft or coated surfaces. Keep it away from vinyl liners, fiberglass, painted finishes and polished or glass tile, and try an out of sight spot first if you are not certain what your finish will take.
