Product details

The Raypak Crosswind V is a 102,000 BTU pool heat pump built around a titanium heat exchanger and a capacitive touch digital control panel. It is smaller and lighter than the Raypak heat pumps that came before it, which makes placement and setup on a standard equipment pad simpler.

Built for the pad

Water connections are industry standard 2 in., so it plumbs in with common unions and fittings. The service panel is on the front, which means the unit can sit close to a wall or fence and still be opened for maintenance.

Controls and diagnostics

The capacitive touch panel shows current status and clear diagnostics, so you can read what the unit is doing at a glance rather than decoding blink codes. The design also uses less energy than older units, which shows up on the monthly bill.

Questions and answers

What people ask about this product, answered by our pool techs.

What size pool will it heat?
At 102,000 BTU it is a mid size residential heat pump. Sizing depends on pool volume, climate, wind exposure and whether you use a cover, so match the BTU rating to your pool with a dealer or a heat pump sizing guide.
Is the heat exchanger safe for salt pools?
Yes. The Crosswind V uses a titanium heat exchanger, which stands up to salt and to normal pool chemistry.
What plumbing does it take?
Industry standard 2 in. water connections, so it goes onto a standard equipment pad without adapters.
How does it ship?
By freight on a pallet. Plan for curbside delivery and have help to move it to the pad.
