Product details
Coral Seas Yellow Out is a 2 lb algae treatment used together with chlorine to clear mustard, green, brown and pink algae.
How it is used
It is not a sanitizer and it does not replace one. It is dosed alongside EPA registered chlorine, and the combination is what breaks down algae that survives ordinary shocking. Follow the dose and the timing printed on the container for your pool volume.
Why mustard algae is different
Mustard, or yellow, algae clings to shaded walls and steps and comes back days after a pool looks clear again. It tolerates chlorine levels that would end a green bloom, which is why a normal shock alone so often fails. This product is aimed squarely at that problem, and it is formulated to work without brushing the affected surfaces first.
What it will not do to your pool
The formula contains no metals, so it avoids the staining that copper based algaecides can leave on plaster and vinyl. It is listed as safe for vinyl pools and for pools running a salt chlorine generator, and it is used on residential, commercial and fountain water alike.
