This is the PoolTux solid rectangle winter cover for a 25' x 40' inground pool, part number 773045IU. The material is 5 mil and it is sold under the PoolTux Royal warranty for 8 years.
Solid rather than mesh
A solid cover blocks water, debris and sunlight. Keeping light off the pool through the off season is the point: without it, an unheated pool still grows algae under the cover and opens green. The trade off against mesh is that rain and snowmelt collect on top, which is why a cover pump belongs in the closing plan.
Holding it down
Solid covers on an inground pool are held in place with water tubes or an equivalent ballast around the deck perimeter. Those are ordered separately from the cover.
