Product details

Deck-O-Shield Plus is Deck-O-Seal's premium grade, water based sealer for natural stone, sold here in the one gallon size, part number 3460710. It is ready to use out of the can and dries to a matte finish.

Made for salt pools

Salt water wicks into porous coping and deck stone and crystallizes inside it. Over time that pressure pits and spalls the surface. Deck-O-Shield Plus is formulated specifically to seal those pores, which makes it the right choice for coping and decks around saltwater pools. The same sealing limits spalling from freeze-thaw cycles in cold climates.

Where it works

Natural stone is the target surface, but it works on any porous material: tile, concrete, pavers and grout included.

Will this stop the pitting on my coping from salt water?
That is what it is for. Deck-O-Shield Plus seals the pores in natural stone and concrete so salt water cannot penetrate and crystallize inside, which is what causes the pitting and spalling.
What surfaces can I use it on?
Any porous surface: natural stone, tile, concrete, pavers and grout. It was formulated for natural stone in particular.
Does it change the look of the stone?
It leaves a matte finish, so the stone keeps its natural appearance rather than a wet or glossy look.
Can I return it if I have some left over?
No. Like all chemical products it is non-returnable and non-refundable once it has shipped, so measure your area before ordering.
