This is the Rola-Chem 520120 vinyl tubing for peristaltic chemical feed pumps: a 66 inch length with a 7/16 inch outside diameter.
The one part that wears
A peristaltic pump has no seals and no impeller. A rotor with rollers squeezes a length of flexible tube and walks the chemical along it. That means the tube does all the work and takes all the abuse, and it is the part that eventually fails while everything else in the pump is still fine.
How to tell it is due
The motor turns, the rotor spins, and nothing arrives at the injection point. Pull the tube out and look at the section that runs under the rollers. If it has gone flat, stiff, cloudy or split, that is your answer. Match the outside diameter to the pump head when you order, because the OD is what the rollers are set for.
