Product details
Pool Season Liquid Floc Plus is a liquid flocculant for cloudy or dull water. It gathers the fine suspended particles that scatter light and drops them to the pool floor, where they can be vacuumed out. One quart treats up to 40,000 gallons.
Floc means vacuum
This is the important difference between floccing and clarifying. A clarifier leaves the work to the filter. A floc deliberately puts the debris on the bottom, so the treatment is only half done when the water goes clear. Vacuum the settled material out afterwards, and take the load off the filter rather than pushing it back into circulation.
Beyond clarity
Pool Season lists Liquid Floc Plus for routine maintenance and for higher phosphate level treatment, and calls it out for salt pools in particular, where phosphate load works directly against how hard the chlorine generator has to run.
